Raye
The pastures scattered to the west of the Village are now collectively known as the Pioneer Fields neighborhood. Most of the original, rudimentary sheds have been removed. The neighborhood is envisioned as a lower density area for the more self-reliant residents who would want larger lots, at a higher cost. All homes would be type B, with lots between 1 and 2 acres, where one can build a home of up to 3,000 sf. There's no housing stock or such planned development, beyond supplying water and power to all lots and laying gravel on the roads, so you'd need to have the resources to build your own house. Prospective residents should also see Living › Dwelling. Until recently, there were several lots with remaining sheds still available - inquire with the Office. All lots run on individual septic systems and, as elsewhere, for any backyard farming (plants, and limited fowl) or other needs outside the home, you must have your separate water source.
Even this early, the number of inquiries against the relatively few lots tells that the neighborhood might need extending up the hills some day, or it just tells that you won't be a lone pioneer here, in this pictorial place. Just further out to the west, we're clearing a new, large area for Raye's own food production of whatever we can farm here, including livestock and year-round plants in greenhouses. If you're so inclined, please think of getting involved by leasing additional land there or participating to the farms Development.
